Vampire Survivors Set to Haunt PS5 and PS4 with Upcoming Launch and Exciting DLCs

This month, fans of roguelike games will be excited to hear that a highly acclaimed title is making its way to the PS5 and PS4. Developer Poncle has confirmed the arrival of Vampire Survivors on PlayStation consoles very soon. After much anticipation, the indie gaming studio announced that this popular shoot 'em-up experience would officially launch on August 29.

Celebrated as the Best Game at the 2022 BAFTA Awards, Vampire Survivors will debut with four downloadable content (DLC) packs. These packs include Legacy of the Moonspell, Tides of the Foscari, Emergency Meeting - inspired by an intriguing party game - and Operation Guns. At launch, players can enjoy all the recent updates, which feature over 40 characters and 80 different weapons.

The main game will be priced at $4.99 / £3.99, with individual DLC packs available at prices ranging from $1.99 / £1.59 to $2.49 / £1.99. Potential buyers have been provided with detailed pricing for each DLC.

Vampire Survivors combines survival mechanics with roguelike features, focusing on streamlined gameplay. The game’s narrative hints at the chaos and danger players will face: there’s nowhere safe to retreat, and survival is the only goal until eventual defeat occurs. Players collect gold during each playthrough to acquire upgrades, assisting the next hero in their quest.

After an early access period on Steam that began in December 2021, the game made its full launch for various platforms, including PC, Xbox consoles, and mobile, by late 2022. It has since earned recognition as one of the leading roguelike titles of recent times.

Upon its release, it quickly became the third highest-rated game on Steam, gathering over 220,000 user reviews and achieving an impressive 98% overwhelmingly positive rating. It has also successfully established itself as one of the most-played titles on the Steam Deck.
