Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance Trailer Showcases New Nahobino Form and Da’at

A fresh trailer for Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, the updated version of the acclaimed 2021 RPG, has been released. This preview showcases Nahobino in an exciting new form, introduces new Demons, and sets a somber tone about an impending apocalypse aimed at creating an "ideal world."

The video provides a glimpse into the modified Da’at, an alternate version of post-apocalyptic Tokyo, which Nahobino explores. This setting is central to the new narrative path, the Canon of Vengeance, which begins similarly to the original storyline but soon takes a unique turn. According to producer Shinjiro Takata, this new route extends the gameplay by over 75 hours.

The musical score has also undergone significant changes, with more than 80% being entirely recreated and the addition of 20 new battle themes to enhance the gaming experience. Additionally, Yoko Hiromine, initially conceived during the first game’s development and now a playable character, appears to be linked to a mysterious past that the new enemies are keen to exploit.

Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance will be released on multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on June 14. Gamers can also look forward to a demo at the upcoming Atlus Fes, scheduled for June 8th and 9th in Tokyo.
