Netflix Expands the Extraction Universe with Omar Sy's Upcoming Spin-Off Series

The world of Extraction is set to expand further as Netflix reveals a new spin-off series featuring Omar Sy, renowned for his performance in Lupin. This upcoming eight-episode show will center around a mercenary undertaking a perilous mission in Libya. The production is helmed by Glen Mazzara, who has previously contributed to The Walking Dead. The Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony, will be serving as executive producers, as Netflix seeks to build upon the popularity established by the films starring Chris Hemsworth.

Mazzara shared his thoughts on the venture, expressing excitement about the collaboration:

Being involved with Omar, who is exceptionally talented, makes me feel fortunate. I am grateful to Joe, Anthony, and Angela for bringing me into the AGBO family. I have never worked with a better team at Netflix, and I consider myself very fortunate.

There is currently no designated date for the launch of the Extraction series has been disclosed as of now. In addition, Netflix is gearing up to start production on a third film in the Extraction franchise featuring Hemsworth later this year.
